under the cut are things that are mainly [profile] alex_e_smith's fault. ALSO PARTIALLY [profile] ficciones OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE YOU KNOW SHE ALWAYS DOES THAT SOMEHOW IDK.

FFF PROBABLY NOT. )

Could also be titled: "audio drama actors are dicks who make me like them and then never show up in anything anyone might see ever except like plays that I can't go to."

But not having a life sums this post up better.

Listened to about half of the first one today.

It is full of terrible jokes and Emma Thompson expys and terrible jokes and also Nicholas Courtney as a GIANT CAT that keeps calling her "Dick" and also terrible jokes that Nicholas Courtney makes as a giant cat that keeps calling her "Dick".

SO BASICALLY THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER THAT I HAVE BEEN MISSING.

And seriously, Benny really really does remind me of Emma Thompson. I know Paul Cornell said that he basically based the character off of her but I never knew that it would come off so obviously.

So I am spending like an hour finding all these album covers for my recently reobtained BF audios and then going through all the tags (the price paid to make my iTunes look nice).

AND WHILE I WAS DOING THIS (here comes more Gallifrey blah blah blah), so like Gallifrey's first episode is called "Weapon of Choice" and sometimes it is just impossible for me to not think about the song.

Which led me into thinking about Christopher Walken dancing around Gallifrey.

">:O GRYBEN IS GOING TO BLOW UP OH LOOK THERE IS CHRISTOPHER WALKEN DANCING, ALL IS WELL."

YOU KNOW WHAT I AM JUST GOING TO GET A TAG FOR GALLIFREY, JEEZ.

NO ONE CARES ABOUT NARVIN AND THE FACT THAT I PLAY HIM but I had to share the fact that I am reading a shippy fic where he is involved and I am having incredible difficulty in taking it seriously - it's certainly not bad but just hahahaha Narvin and actual relationships with people.

IDKY but even if I ship Narvin with like 90% of Gallifrey's cast it is just impossible for me to write/think about him actually BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP.

Oh Narvin ilu and your fail.

And now I can't stop thinking about Narvin and Romana snarking each other about sex while having it OH NO THIS IS TERRIBLE.

Okay, I totally love Romana II a lot more than Romana I, especially after listening to the Gallifrey audios so many times and also because Lalla Ward is a really lovely person, but not considering that -

Romana I is totally hotter than Romana II.

Ice queen maybe, but I'd like her to ice up my igloo any day.

I don't know what that means and I hope neither do you.

And while we're at it, person who wrote that article, Martha is hotter than Amy. Amy so does not come at a #2. Yes she's got nice legs (okay, so I can't say that without feeling dirty, thanks moff) but Martha has got Freema Agyeman. Who has a nice everything.

Enough said.

I'd say she's even hotter than Rose and I have a serious Billie Piper Problem (BPP), so there.

So I have been having some serious thinky thinks about Rose and this has been bugging me for a while now, but I want to get it down on here before I explode about it for ten minutes to someone after they push the trigger that sets me off on the idea.

cut in case you haven't seen JE yet in which case i probably envy you. )

I was going to write a whole review about my thoughts on the episode, but that would take too long and besides it would just have been a reiteration of this conversation.

This conversation contains swearing and Moffat hating and nitpicking and Rose comparisons. Please don't read if you don't like any of that stuff.

SPOILERS FOR TIME OF THE ANGELS DON'T READ IF YOU'RE GOING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT HOW I SPOILED YOU. BY THE WAY SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE. )

I'm writing this post a little late (okay fine a lot late) because mostly I'm lazy, but it was bothering me enough for me to take a crack at it.

So let's play a little drinking game, children. Except it won't be little, because if you aren't dead of alcohol poisoning by the end of this post, you're playing this game WRONG. Unless you have a liver made out of iron and adamantium.

Basically it's the staple of all drinking games, take a shot every time you see the trope/word/etc. on screen. This is going to be a real fun one, because we'll be taking a shot every time in the Eleventh Hour we see: 1) a Moffat trope, 2) a ripoff from another episode.

Are you feeling a little queasy? It is your brain calculating then screaming about how much alcohol that's going to be.

A couple of shots will be half-shots. I say this because some of these might seem a bit of a stretch, but I feel too strongly about it to let it go, so you do take something. Half-shot seems to be a good substitute, since I'm being glass half-empty, so DID YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE?

Some things I will call multiple shots for, because they're pretty blatant and I feel like one isn't enough.

Are you ready? Go!
